South Allington House, in the hamlet of Chivelstone, is a Grade II Georgian manor house, set in four acres of beautiful grounds, between Start Point and Prawle Point, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.

For those guests wanting the freedom of self-catering, The Laurels, The Coach House and Coachman’s Lodge are within the grounds of the main house, and offer comfort and modern facilities that make them a home from home.

For both bed and breakfast and self-catering guests there is ample parking and you are free to use the grounds, including croquet, tennis court and coarse fishing. Devon cream teas with homemade scones and jam are served on the lawn in the summer.

South Allington House can also be booked for a special occasion – a wedding reception or celebratory party. A marquee on the lawn and beautiful gardens for photographic opportunities will make your day one to remember.
