From the extensive pine woodlands and heathlands in the Wareham and Ringwood areas, to the beautiful beech woodlands of Cranborne Chase, the forests of Dorset are a delight to discover.
The beach has a large natural swimming pool in the rocks that is filled by the sea at high tide. Situated close to the town centre, it has a large car park and easy access for everyone. There are cliff and canal walks from the beaches with local nature reserves nearby
Nestled at the foot of one of south Devon's landmarks, 'The Ness', Ness Cove beach is only accessible via an original smugglers tunnel, which leads you through the wooded area and down onto the beach. A secluded family beach with café facilities. Next to the beach entrance is Shaldon Wildlife Zoo.
Berry Head to Sharkham Point is a haven for several nationally rare and threatened species which are dependent upon the thin limestone soils, mile climate and exposed conditions of the headland.
Trevone Bay is located to the south of Trevose Head and to the north of Harlyn Bay. This gently shelving, sandy beach is surrounded by cliffs and situated in an area of great geological interest. There is ample parking during the summer season.
