Nestled at the foot of one of south Devon's landmarks, 'The Ness', Ness Cove beach is only accessible via an original smugglers tunnel, which leads you through the wooded area and down onto the beach. A secluded family beach with café facilities. Next to the beach entrance is Shaldon Wildlife Zoo.
The beach boasts rock pools at its northern and southern ends at low water. There are substantial sand dunes along its eastern boundary, which adjoins a golf course. Take one of the many coastal paths for a scenic stroll.
The sandy beach is ideal for families and has plenty of rock pools for young children to explore. It’s also a very popular location for surfing and there’s a surf school for those who want to join the action on the water.
This beach is part of a seven mile stretch of sand from Burnham-on-Sea to Brean Down. A considerable tidal range, leaving mud flats at low tide. From the beach you can watch boats come and go and spot seabirds from Stert and the nearby Wildlife Park.
Constantine is on the North Cornwall Coast Path, which has some spectacular views to Trevose Head in the north, and Newquay to the south. Popular surf beach, better suited to experienced surfers.
