Porthleven West Beach

Sand and shingle beach backed by cliffs.

The sand and shingle beach at the fishing port of Porthlevan stretches three miles southeast along the Loe Bar. Basking sharks, seals and dolphins may be seen in the area.

It’s popular with experienced surfers who brave the waves that break onto a shallow barnacle-encrusted reef.

Facilities include toilets and refreshments. There are also some good places to eat in town.
