The seed for the Field Kitchen was planted many years ago after Guy Watson made a trip to Alice Water's restaurant in San Francisco, where fresh, organic, seasonal produce was the starting point for every meal. With these same ingredients in abundance on his own farm in Devon, he saw an opportunity to give visitors a 'complete' food experience combining a farm visit with a meal in the Field Kitchen.
All of our dishes are imaginatively created using our best seasonal organic produce. There is a generous set menu with a vegetarian and meat option, followed by a choice of irresistible puddings. The atmosphere in teh field Kitchen is relaxed and informal and a real favourite with families. Combined with our farm rours and tractor rides, it is an enjoyable and informative day out for all to enjoy.
