The small village, with a public house and shop, lies behind a long shingle ridge. Behind the beach, Widdicombe Ley freshwater lake and grasslands provides an ideal location for wildlife and an opportunity for birdwatching.
Ideal for walking, horse-riding and mountain biking with the Kennet and Avon Canal and the Ridgeway National Trail running across the AONB.
